What is Chatime Societea?
Chatime Societea is a multi-leveled rewards program that aims to give our top earning members exclusive perks! There are different perks in each level and more benefits as you move up!
The Chatime Societea level earning period begins on January 1 of each calendar year and ends on December 31 of the same year. Your perks start as soon as you successfully unlock a level, and will last until the end of the following calendar year.

There are 3 levels that can be unlocked, each step-up gives you more perks (and bragging rights)! The levels are Silver, Gold, Platinum!

How do I unlock a Chatime Societea level?
Unlock a level by earning a qualifying number of points! The Chatime Societea level earning period begins on January 1 of each calendar year and ends on December 31 of the same year. Your perks start as soon as you successfully unlock a level, and will last until the end of the following calendar year.
Here are the points you can earn to unlock each level*:
Silver: no minimum required, all our members start in silver!
Gold: 15,000 pts ($150)
Platinum: 40,000 pts ($400)
*If you do not earn enough to maintain your level during the earning period of Jan 1 - Dec 31 each year, your level will expire!

Points can be earned on qualified purchases at participating Chatime, Bake Code and Atealier by Chatime locations in Ontario and British Columbia. Simply ask our Tearistas to scan your digital card located in the 'cards' section of the Chatime Societea mobile app!

Chatime Societea points can be earned and redeemed at all participating Chatime, Chatime Innovation Bar, Chatime Atealier, and Bake Code locations in Ontario and British Columbia.
What can I use my points to redeem?
You can redeem your Chatime Societea points on baked goods, drinks, merchandise, or anything that can be purchased at any Chatime, Atealier by Chatime, or Bake Code location in Ontario and British Columbia.
How can I use/redeem points?
Points can be used by asking the Tearista to scan your digital card located in the 'cards' section of the Chatime Societea mobile app. Specify the amount you would like to use before making payment. A minimum of $2.50 must be redeemed.
Do I have to pay for the Chatime Societea app?
The Chatime Societea app is totally free to download and use!
Do I need to load a balance onto my gift card in order to earn points?
No you do not! Earning is free with every purchase!

Chatime Societea points have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Yes, the maximum number of points that can be redeemed per day is 62500 points ($50.00).

There is no maximum number of current points you can have at one time! Earn as many points as you would like!
How do I redeem my free birthday drink?
Signup and make a minimum instore purchase of $2.50 before tax within 7 days before your birthday to unlock the birthday reward(s) for that year! It will show up as a voucher in the Chatime Societea mobile app, and is valid for 7 days before your birthday until 7 days after your birthday!
*Birthday Vouchers will not show up if you have not made the minimum purchase of $2.50.

Can I still use my phone number to earn points?
Unfortunately, no. Chatime Societea is tied to a gift card and requires scanning upon each purchase in order to earn points! You will be automatically given a digital card in the Chatime Societea app upon signing up. Physical gift cards can also be additionally stored on the app.
Can I still use my physical card?
Yes! The physical gift card can still be used in store. If you have registered the card to your Chatime Societea account, you will also earn points on every purchase!
Will there be a physical membership card for the new Chatime Societea program?
If you have a gift card, you can register it to your Chatime Societea account to earn points on it with every use and redeem for rewards.
Can I add the same giftcard to multiple Chatime Societea accounts?
A gift card can only be registered to one Chatime Societea account.
If I put money into my gift card, will I be able to earn Societea points?
Points can be earned on any physical gift card that is registered to your Chatime Societea account. Unfortunately topping up a gift card will not earn you points.
How do I link a gift card to my Chatime Societea account?
Each Chatime Societea account will be automatically assigned a digital gift card! You can also link physical gift cards to your Societea acccount by going to the 'Cards' section of the app, tapping 'add gift card' and entering the gift card number and security code!

Can a store Tearista create an account for me at the store?
Our Tearistas cannot create an account on your behalf, however, they can guide you through the process of creating an account on the Chatime Societea Mobile app!
Can I earn points through ordering online with Chatime Societea?
Yes! As long as you're using the same email on Chatime Online Ordering as your Chatime Societea email, points are automatically added to your account within 24 hours! (Please note points will not be earned on any purchases made before your Chatime Societea account has been created).
Do my Chatime Societea points expire?
Points do not expire, however any Card or Chatime Societea account that has been inactive for twenty-four (24) consecutive months will be rendered inactive and unregistered. Inactivity is defined as no Points earned or redeemed during such twenty-four (24) consecutive months period. In the event that your Card or Societea Rewards account is unregistered or rendered inactive, all accrued Points in your Societea Rewards account are lost.

How do I prevent my Chatime Societea account from being inactive?

We would be happy to help you create one and link it to your physical gift card which can be used in stores as your rewards card to earn and redeem points! Please contact loyalty@chatime.ca and provide us with your full name, date of birth, email address, postal code, and the number of a physical gift card from any Chatime, Bake Code, Atealier, or Bake Code Croissanterie. Can I still use my Chatime Spoonity Gift Card?
The Chatime Spoonity gift cards will no longer be accepted or serviced at the following Chatime locations after December 31, 2020. Instead, we are migrating to a new Chatime gift card program so guests can redeem or send physical gift cards across-country to be used in Ontario and select British Columbia locations! If you still have a Spoonity gift card with an outstanding balance, you can request a transfer to Chatime Societea by emailing loyalty@chatime.ca.

If you purchased a Chatime Spoonity gift card in British Columbia prior to December 11, 2020, please email loyalty@chatime.ca to request a transfer of your balance to a Societea Gift Card.

Can I still use my Chatime Spoonity Gift Card?
The Chatime Spoonity gift cards will no longer be accepted or serviced at the following Chatime locations after December 31, 2020. Instead, we are migrating to a new Chatime gift card program so guests can redeem or send physical gift cards across-country to be used in Ontario and select British Columbia locations! If you still have a Spoonity gift card with an outstanding balance, you can request a transfer to Chatime Societea by emailing loyalty@chatime.ca.

Can I transfer my current gift card balance to Chatime Societea?
If you purchased a Chatime Spoonity gift card in British Columbia prior to December 11, 2020, please email loyalty@chatime.ca to request a transfer of your balance to a Societea Gift Card.
If you purchased your Chatime giftcard after December 9, 2020 your gift card is already compatible with the Chatime Societea app! Add your gift card to your digital wallet by going to the 'Cards' section of the app and tapping 'add gift card' and entering the gift card number and security code!

Can I still use my Chatime Spoonity rewards?
No, the Chatime Spoonity program was discontinued as of February 28, 2022 and replaced by the Chatime Societea app! We encourage you to download it and take advantage of the loyalty perks we have to offer!
What has happened to my Spoonity points and status?
If your Chatime Spoonity points and status were not transfered to Chatime Societea by November 30, 2022, they are forfeit.
